Our Sourcing

We source our ingredients from local, organic, and respectfully managed sources as much as possible. Our beeswax is from local, small apiaries. Whenever possible we use herbs grown in our garden (or a friend’s garden) harvested by hand at their peak. Our carrier oils are sourced from reputable organic suppliers. The shea butter we use is 100% raw and organic from Ghana. We use organic stevia to lightly sweeten our lip balms.

Our Process

We make small (like really, really small) batches by hand. The oils used in salves are prepared using a cold infusion process allowing herbs (locally grown, hand harvested, and slowly dried) to steep in oil for at least a month. The oil is then drained through 100% mesh cotton. In some cases we add essential or flavor oils. Every aspect of our process is loving done by hand.

Products are seasonal and based on what is available (and what feels right). In some cases, a specific product may only be available once. We believe in whimsy, and offer one-of-a-kind items as the spirit moves us.
